When you hire an Interior Designer, what are your expectations? Do you want to give them some guidelines, get them to know you and then have them come up with recommendations? Or, do you want to work alongside of them in a collaborative manner?
Jamie is equally good at either approach.
In our case, we liked to collaborate with her in real time. My wife and I would sit with her in her studio in front of a big screen monitor. We would surf the web pulling together the furniture, materials, colors and accents that we all agreed upon. In some cases, she gently "guided" to consider things that on our own we might not have done. Now that we see those decisions in place, we're glad we were gently pushed to expand our thinking about what we wanted.
You may not have the time to spend the time like that, but we did and we loved the outcome of the process.”

“We began with EdenLA because of their gorgeous showroom, but committed to them once we saw their enthusiasm and ideas. Jamie really listened to everything we said, was vocal in her opinions about what we were starting with (without being condescending), and came up with a road map. We did two projects: one was a bedroom (starting from scratch) and the other was an update of existing elements in the Living Room and Master. She did her planning and research, and then presented us with options, with different price points as well. If we didn't like something, she didn't take it personally, rather just moved on to the next idea. This made the process fun, fast, and without drama. Knowing that delivery dates are known to be sketchy at best, we were also happy that everything arrived pretty much exactly on schedule. She agreed with us about one piece that didn't work, and took it back without question (a non-custom piece). The custom pieces she designed exceeded our expectations. I couldn't recommend EdenLA more highly... especially if you kind of know what you want, but need someone to guide you. Jamie has diverse resources, a sunny disposition, and confident opinions that were perfect for us.”

Napa Inspired Manhattan Beach Tree Section
I hired Jamie Roddy, owner of edenLA, to assist me with the design of a new construction, high-end spec home in Manhattan Beach. Jamie proved to be extremely knowledgeable of construction processes, fashion trends, and timeliness. Jamie was always on task, reachable, and present on the project and proved to be a terrific problem solver. Most surprisingly, Jamie was very aware of the return on investment of our decisions and was very cost conscience which was a refreshing perspective to partner with. I plan to work with Jamie on future projects.
